Leicestershire School Collective

Following last year’s theme of ‘Our Changing Universe’, which looked outward to the world beyond us, we are so excited to announce this year’s theme of Our Changing Roots which turns our focus inward to where we come from and invites schools to explore the histories, industries, people, and stories that have shaped their local area, and to reflect on how those roots have evolved over time.

The Moving Together School Collective is an exciting, county-wide dance programme designed to ignite creativity, build confidence, and connect Leicestershire schools through movement and performance. Moving Together supports schools to form a dance troupe, upskill staff through CPD, offer in-school workshops, and give pupils the chance to achieve the nationally recognised Arts Award Discover qualification, all culminating in a professional dance showcase at The Venue@DMU.
